ONE-WAY VIDEO INTERVIEW — PREPARATION AND FIRST-TAKE REVIEW atula | https://www.atula.ai/guides/one-way-video-interview-practice/ Original editorial exercise, not an official platform simulator or hiring assessment. RULES FROM MY INVITATION Deadline and time zone: Supported device/browser: Think time: Answer limit: Number of takes: Can I pause between questions? Return later? Are notes or outside assistance allowed? Contact for technical problems or accessibility arrangements: Do not assume every platform or employer has the same rules. FOUR ORIGINAL REHEARSAL QUESTIONS 1. Tell me about yourself and why this role interests you. Background -> relevant evidence -> connection to the role. 2. Tell me about a time you corrected a mistake. A real event -> your responsibility -> action -> observed result. 3. A customer is upset because a deadline was missed. What would you do first? Priority -> checks -> action. State assumptions; do not invent company policy. 4. What is one skill you are developing for this role? Specific gap -> practice activity -> evidence of learning. 30-MINUTE PRACTICE PLAN 0–5: Check the invitation and setup. 5–10: Pick two real stories; note responsibility, decision, result. 10–20: Answer four prompts out loud under your invitation's timing rules. 20–25: Review one answer. 25–30: Repeat that answer with one change; use the platform's practice mode if offered. If no timing is specified, 30 seconds planning and a 90-second answer can be a practice constraint only. FIRST TAKE Question: Sentence that directly answers the question: My action or decision: Evidence for the result: What is unmeasured or unknown: Did I finish within the limit? What made audio or framing hard to follow? REPAIR AND RETRY One exact change: A context detail I can remove: Opening sentence for the next attempt: What changed after trying again: Use true facts. A number is optional; an invented achievement is not useful. Use a private recording only if it helps you review, and delete it when no longer needed. Check the real platform's instructions before the actual assessment. STAR worksheet: https://www.atula.ai/tools/star-story-builder/ Apply for live practice: https://www.atula.ai/
