Anthropic's Economic Index tags a privacy-protected sample of real Claude conversations with the work task each one is about. That tells us how much of each US job people already do with AI: its AI exposure. Jobs and their tasks come from O*NET, the US Department of Labor's job database. Newer jobs O*NET doesn't list yet, like AI product manager, get an estimate from the tasks and jobs they're made of, and the result page says so.
Your score starts from your job's AI exposure, then shifts with the kind of work you said fills your day and how much you already use AI. The higher it is, the less of your work people already hand to AI.
We also check the AI data against US Bureau of Labor Statistics projections, so jobs shrinking because of machines, or growing because of AI itself, move up or down a little.
A lower score doesn't mean your job disappears. It means more of today's tasks are ones people already hand to AI, so the job is more likely to change.

Your roles come from about 80 jobs that are growing and that AI touches little today, or that build and run AI. Every role is at least as AI-proof as your own job, or close to it and growing fast. We rank them mostly by how close the work is to what you do now, then by fit with your type. A role has to suit your skills and training level, and some only show for the backgrounds they grow out of.
You get two realistic picks and one you might not expect: a role from another field that still uses your skills. When fewer than three roles truly fit, the open spots become ways to level up where you are, ending with the human edge AI can't copy.
